Guess what? I'm having a baby. Sometime around November 3rd.

People are already suggesting baby names. It is super annoying because mostly everyone suggests their own name. Har har har.

Last week, Nick and I took a trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia.

We had fun in Siem Reap, even though it was probably 110 F the whole week. It was neat to see all of the temples, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site Angkor Wat. My friend who lives there had planned a really intensive week of touring! I have to say there were times I didn't think I could make it, but Nick felt the same way so I can't blame the pregnancy. We were climbing all day on big stairs like the ones at the Great Wall. Only we did it like 5 different times each day at 5 different temples. Whew.

I was surprised that Siem Reap seems alot more poor than Vientianne (in Laos). But it isn't the capital city. Cambodia is a sad place. They had alot of genocide from 1975-1979. About 2 or 3 million people were killed for being intellectuals or workers in the former government. Pretty much anyone with an education was killed. Over 900 doctors were killed, all kinds of artists, and a bunch of random people died because the whole country was in work camps for those 5 years. So pretty much there are no old people around anymore. Alot of kids died too from starvation and overwork. Very sad. The people don't smile like in Laos and Thailand.
